The first American Saint, Saint Mother Seton had multiple Vocations. She entered Religious Life after first being a widowed wife and mother. Saint Mother Seton is regarded as the Foundress of Catholic parochial education in the United States.
In the “White House” on her Convent grounds, the room where she made her Transitus to Eternal Life can be seen just a few feet away from one of her early classrooms.
Among her other virtues, she was known to have been very optimistic, to have accomplished all she did.
