ABC 7 Chicago reports on multiple highway accidents involving numerous vehicles in and around the Chicago region leading into Wednesday, Nov. 1, following the development of icy road conditions and several inches of snow. There was at least one fatality reported.
"Overnight precipitation coupled with quickly dropping temperatures made for a very dangerous morning commute Wednesday."
Various stretches of highway reportedly were not adequately or fully treated, some reportedly not at all.
