“‘I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life.’ The way is humility, which leads to truth. Humility is sorrow; truth is the fruit of sorrow. You will say: How do I know that [#Jesus] is talking about humility, since he just says: ‘I am the way’? He himself gives you the answer when he adds: ‘Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.’ (Mt 11:29) He thus offers Himself as an example of humility and gentleness. If you imitate him, you will not walk in darkness, but you will have the light of life (Jn 8:12). What is the light of life other than the truth?
