“Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits. He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick – no food, no sack, no money in their belts. They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic. … ‘Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you,
leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them.’ … they went off and preached repentance.
… drove out many demons, and … anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.”
“… a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. … had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors … touched His Cloak. She said, ‘If I but touch His Clothes, I shall be cured.’ Immediately …. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.’ … people from the synagogue official’s house arrived and said, ‘Your daughter has died …’ Jesus said to the synagogue official, ‘Do not be afraid; just have faith.’ … He … entered the room where the child was. … took the child by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum,’ which means, ‘Little girl, I say to you, arise!’ The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. …”

“Jesus and His Disciples came to the other side of the sea, to the territory of the Gerasenes. When He got out of the boat, at once a man from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met Him. The man had been dwelling among the tombs,
and no one could restrain him any longer, even with a chain. … the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine.
The herd of about two thousand rushed down a steep bank into the sea, where they were drowned. …”
