GOSPEL

GOSPEL: Luke 13:18-21

Jesus teaches about the unfolding, growing nature of the Kingdom of God, comparing its expansion and fulfillment to the tiny mustard seed that grows into a large bush, or yeast that multiplies a batch of dough.

‘What is the Kingdom of God like?
… a mustard seed … planted in the garden.
… fully grown, it became a large bush
and the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.

… like yeast … mixed in with … flour until the whole batch of dough was leavened.’
