FIRST READING: Titus 3:1-7

God leads us to New Life through His Grace, sparing us a life of envy, malice and hatefulness.

… be peaceable, considerate, exercising all graciousness toward everyone. … when the Kindness and Generous Love of God our Savior appeared … He saved us through the bath of Rebirth and Renewal by the Holy Spirit, Whom He richly poured out on us through Jesus Christ our savior …

PS 23:1B-3A, 3BC-4, 5, 6

The Lord is my Shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.

GOSPEL: Luke 17:11-19

Jesus cures ten lepers. When only one comes back to thank Him, Jesus declares to him that his faith has saved him.

Jesus said in reply, ‘Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine?  Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?’  Then He said to him, ‘Stand up and go; your faith has saved you.’

We are reminded to be always thankful to God for all the Blessing we receive, and to remember that God is the Source of all that is Good.
