VIDEO: Bosnia's Demining Dogs Sniff Out Land Mines In Ukraine
RFE/RL reports on efforts to clear landmines in Ukraine utilizing specialized demining dogs from Bosnia.
"After the [1990s] Balkan wars ... Bosnia became a global leader in demining. ... Bosnian experts are in Ukraine, training sappers to clear vast areas left deadly by Russia’s full-scale invasion. ... [S]pecialized mine-detection dogs, bred and trained in Sarajevo, [are] now deployed on Ukrainian minefields. With a third of Ukraine’s territory mined, these teams are racing against time to make the land safe again."
