Notre Dame QB Ian Book #1 in College Football for Completion Percentage, Heading Into Bye Week

According to NCAA statistics, Notre Dame’s Ian Book leads Div. I-A/FBS quarterbacks in completion percentage, heading into Notre Dame’s bye week.
Thus far on the year, after seven games, starting in four games and logging stats in five, Book is at 103 of 137 passing, with a 75.2% completion percentage for 1151 yards and 11 touchdowns to 3 interceptions.
The next-highest quarterback for completion percentage is at 73.0%.
After throwing two first-half interceptions against Pitt, Book is #12 in the country for passing efficiency, according to NCAA passing efficiency statistics. However, Book also showed some competitive resiliency, responding to the interceptions with a scorching 81.3% overall passing day against Pitt that also included two touchdowns.
Notre Dame has indicated that Book is probably the only quarterback in Notre Dame history to have four games in a row where he completed more than 70% of his passes.

Book took over the starting job for the fourth game against Wake Forest.
After the bye week, next up for the Irish will be Navy in San Diego, in primetime on CBS on Saturday, Oct. 27.
