In addition to impacting Notre Dame’s travel arrangements, and reportedly impacting whether or not to have a morning walk-through at the stadium, the biggest repercussion might be with the weather.
Notre Dame already managed to dodge another Mid-Atlantic hurricane game, since it was a week earlier that Hurricane Florence came through.
Yet, with the forecast ebbing and flowing for potential (presumably conventional) thunderstorms, the noon start should give Notre Dame — and Wake Forest’s up-tempo offense — dry weather, around 80, with the storms not predicted to arrive until the end of the afternoon.
