“#Jesus said to His #Disciples:
‘… You are the Light of the World.
A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket …

… your Light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your Heavenly Father.'”
“… ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you
and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of Me.
Rejoice and be glad,
for your reward will be great in heaven.
Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.'”
“… #God so loved the world that He gave His only Son,
so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish
but might have Eternal life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be Saved through Him. …”

“The giving of the Spirit to the new people of God crowns the mighty acts of the Father in salvation history. …”
“When the time for #Pentecost was fulfilled,
they were all in one place together.
And suddenly there came from the sky
a noise like a strong driving wind,
and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Then there appeared to them Tongues as of Fire,
which parted and came to rest on each one of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak in different tongues,
as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. …”
“… On the last and greatest day of the feast,
#Jesus stood up and exclaimed,
‘Let anyone who thirsts come to Me and drink.
As #Scripture says:
Rivers of living water will flow from within him who believes in me.’
He said this in reference to the Spirit
that those who came to believe in Him were to receive.”
“R. The just will gaze on Your Face, O Lord.

The LORD searches the just and the wicked;
the lover of violence he hates.
For the LORD is Just, He loves just deeds;
the upright shall see His Face.”
“#Mary set out
and traveled to the hill country in haste
to a town of Judah,
where she entered the house of Zechariah
and greeted #Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
the infant leaped in her womb,
and Elizabeth, filled with the #HolySpirit,
cried out in a loud voice and said,
‘Most blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of your Womb.
And how does this happen to me,
that the Mother of my Lord should come to me? …”
