‘The Secret of the Rosary’ by Saint Louis de Montfort

Immaculate Heart of Mary

“The Secret of the Rosary” by Saint Louis de Montfort is a thoughtful, inspiring, timeless treasure likely written in the early 18th Century, about 500 years after the Blessed Virgin Mary, accompanied by Holy Angels, gave the Rosary to Saint Dominic. She explained that the Holy Trinity wanted the Rosary, which she called her Angelic Psalter, to be the weapon used to reform the world.

Saint Louis de Montfort was a French Priest who lived from 1673 to 1716.

In “The Secret of the Rosary,” he exhorts the Faithful to pray the Rosary and describes its form, and some of its attributes and Graces.

He also provides real-life examples of the Rosary’s significance and impact, including an anecdote about the role the Rosary played in the ultimate expulsion of demons out of a possessed girl.

Presently — as of Oct. 7, 2025, the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary — a paperback version of Saint Louis de Montfort’s “The Secret of the Rosary” is available on Amazon for the price of $5.95. The product page indicates that this price is $2 below list price.
