“#Jesus … came to his native place, accompanied by His Disciples. … many who heard him were astonished. … ‘… Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary …?…’
… Jesus said … ‘A prophet is not without honor except in his native place ….”
… He was amazed at their lack of faith.”
“Jesus and His Disciples came to the other side of the sea, to the territory of the Gerasenes. … a man from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met Him. … the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand rushed down a steep bank into the sea, where they were drowned…. the man who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there clothed and in his right mind. … Jesus … told him … ‘Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in His Pity has done for you.’ Then the man went off and began to proclaim … what Jesus had done for him; and all were amazed.”
“… Simon’s mother-in-law lay sick with a fever.
… [Jesus] approached, grasped her hand, and helped her up.
Then the fever left her …
… He cured many who were sick with various diseases,
and He drove out many demons,
not permitting them to speak because they knew Him.
Rising very early before dawn,
He left and went off to a deserted place, where He prayed. …”
“The shepherds went in haste to #Bethlehem and found #Mary and Joseph,
and the Infant lying in the manger.
… they made known the Message
that had been told them about this Child.
… Mary kept all these things,
reflecting on them in her heart.
… the shepherds returned,
glorifying and praising #God ….
… He was named #Jesus, the Name given Him by the #Angel
before He was Conceived in the Womb.”

and the Word was with #God,
and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came to be through Him,
and without Him nothing came to be.
What came to be through him was Life,
and this Life was the Light of the human race;
the Light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.
The True Light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. ….”

So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph,
and the Infant lying in the manger. …”

to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem,
because he was of the house and family of David,
to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with Child.
While they were there,
the time came for her to have her Child,
and she gave birth to her firstborn Son.
She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn. …”
