God so loved the world that He gave His Only-Begotten Son,<br \/>\nso that everyone who believes in Him might not perish<br \/>\nbut might have Eternal Life.<br \/>\nFor God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,<br \/>\nbut that the world might be Saved through Him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Even on this earth, there already is a chasm between those who truly follow God and those who reject Him. \u00a0Those who choose evil hate God&#8217;s Light, in part because of shame over being exposed in their evil.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Whoever believes in Him will not be condemned,<br \/>\nbut whoever does not believe has already been condemned,<br \/>\nbecause He has not believed in the Name of the only-begotten Son of God.<br \/>\n&#8230;\u00a0the Light came into the world,<br \/>\nbut people preferred darkness to Light,<br \/>\nbecause their works were evil.<br \/>\n&#8230;\u00a0everyone who does wicked things hates the light<br \/>\nand does not come toward the light,<br \/>\nso that his works might not be exposed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>At the same time, we are reminded that God wishes to Save all. \u00a0The shame felt by evildoers, ironically, indicates an awareness that right and wrong do exist, perhaps because God&#8217;s Law is engraved on the hearts of all. \u00a0Those still on earth, even while sinful or evil, can still repent and undergo conversion with the Help of God&#8217;s Grace, if they answer &#8220;yes&#8221; to God&#8217;s Invitation to Eternal Life.<\/p>\n<p>At times, however, we also see pernicious evil that is shameless, that will promote evil or tolerance of evil as if it is good. \u00a0And we also see a brazen effort to attack the good precisely for being good.<\/p>\n<p>In the Gospel, however, Jesus goes on to say how those who live the Truth also want to come to the Light.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But whoever lives the Truth comes to the light,<br \/>\nso that his works may be clearly seen as done in God<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>How many ways can we think about Divine Light?<\/p>\n<p>For example, perhaps we see God as Light in terms of God\u00a0representing Life and Goodness for us, as the Ultimate Source of Life, Love and what is Good.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps we also see God&#8217;s Divine Light in connection with Truth. \u00a0Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and perhaps we can see Gods Divine Light in terms of God as a Source of Truth.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, we see Light as <em>showing<\/em> what is True, just as light exposes to our eyes the details of something more accurately.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus tells us that if we Live in Truth, we are attracted to God. \u00a0And He tells us that, if we Live in Truth we want our deeds and works to be <em>seen<\/em> clearly, as being done in God.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding:2px;\">\r\n<div style=\"float:left;\">\r\n<!---Catholic-Match---->\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tkqlhce.com\/hi117efolfn2A6B3C87243A463A324759B9438C333\" target=\"_blank\" onmouseover=\"window.status='http:\/\/www.catholicmatch.com';return true;\" onmouseout=\"window.status=' ';return true;\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lduhtrp.net\/lg98wquiom7FBG8HDC798F9B8F879CAEGE98DH888\" alt=\"CatholicMatch.com - Grow in Faith, Fall in Love\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div style=\"float:right;padding-right:5px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpbolvw.net\/click-7380954-10751355-1453823028000\" target=\"_top\">\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ftjcfx.com\/image-7380954-10751355-1453823028000\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n<h3>RESPONSORIAL PSALM<\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/34:2\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/34:2\" target=\"_blank\">PSALM 34:2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>The Lord Hears the cry of the poor.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"float:right;padding-left:10px;padding-top:10px;\">\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpbolvw.net\/click-7380954-10751356\" target=\"_top\">\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ftjcfx.com\/image-7380954-10751356\" width=\"180\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a>\r\n<\/div>\n<h3>FIRST READING<\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/acts\/5:17\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/acts\/5:17\" target=\"_blank\">FIRST READING: Acts 5:17-26<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When Jewish religious authorities imprison the Apostles out of jealous, God sends Holy Angel to release them from jail with instructions to continue Proclaiming the Gospel in the temple area. \u00a0The Apostles do so, persevering in their Mission.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The high priest rose up and all his companions\u00a0&#8230;<br \/>\n* * *<br \/>\nlaid hands upon the Apostles and put them in the public jail.<br \/>\n&#8230;\u00a0during the night, the Angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison,<br \/>\nled them out, and said,<br \/>\n&#8216;Go and take your place in the temple area,<br \/>\nand tell the people everything about this life.&#8217;<br \/>\nWhen they heard this,<br \/>\nthey went to the temple early in the morning and taught.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The oblivious high priest shows up to his tribunal prepared to carry out some kind of action against the Apostles, only to be told that they have disappeared from inside the locked jail. \u00a0When someone\u00a0reports that the Apostles are back teaching in the temple again, the Jewish authorities have them arrested yet again. \u00a0Although they are fearful of the crowd&#8217;s reaction and so make the arrest without violence.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width:50%;
