While they were still speaking about this, He stood in their midst and said to them, &#8216;Peace be with you.&#8217;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Those present are\u00a0\u00a0afraid, yet Jesus appeals to them as a Person, exhorting them to observe His Wounds and even to touch Him, to see that He is not a ghost, yet truly Risen in Flesh and Blood.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8230;\u00a0He said to them, &#8216;Why are you troubled?\u00a0And why do questions arise in your hearts?\u00a0Look at My Hands and My Feet, that it is I Myself.\u00a0Touch Me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones\u00a0as you can see I have.&#8217;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"float:right;padding-left:10px;padding-top:10px;\">\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpbolvw.net\/click-7380954-10751356\" target=\"_top\">\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ftjcfx.com\/image-7380954-10751356\" width=\"180\" height=\"150\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a>\r\n<\/div>\n<p>The Disciples&#8217; fear is transformed;\u00a0their troubled hearts become filled with joy and amazement.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus also asks for something to eat. \u00a0He eats a piece of baked fish, further demonstrating that He is Real Flesh and Blood, not a ghost.<\/p>\n<p>Opening their minds to understand Holy Scripture, Jesus reminds them that His Suffering, Death and Resurrection are a Fulfillment of Holy Scripture.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8216;These are My Words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about Me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.&#8217; &#8230;\u00a0He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. &#8216;Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and Rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in His Name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.&#8217;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Christ comes to part of the Heart of His Sacrifice for us and our Redemption &#8212; that repentance and forgiveness of sins are to be preached in His Name to all.<\/p>\n<p>We also see the personal nature of His Relationship with the Disciples and us &#8212; they are not simply to convey ideas; Disciples also are witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Reality is not hypothetical. The Resurrection of Christ, and our invitation to Eternal Life, are not academic proposals or legalistic arguments; they are facts to be experienced, borne witness to, and lived out. \u00a0Indeed, one current Cardinal once explained in a Homily that the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ form the central, most important historical moment\u00a0in all the history of humanity.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"gold-soft-2\">RESPONSORIAL PSALM <\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/8:2\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/8:2\" target=\"_blank\">PSALM 8:2AB AND 5, 6-7, 8-9<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>O Lord, our God, how wonderful Your Name in all the earth!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"padding:2px;\">\r\n<div style=\"float:left;\">\r\n<!---Catholic-Match---->\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tkqlhce.com\/hi117efolfn2A6B3C87243A463A324759B9438C333\" target=\"_blank\" onmouseover=\"window.status='http:\/\/www.catholicmatch.com';return true;\" onmouseout=\"window.status=' ';return true;\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lduhtrp.net\/lg98wquiom7FBG8HDC798F9B8F879CAEGE98DH888\" alt=\"CatholicMatch.com - Grow in Faith, Fall in Love\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div style=\"float:right;padding-right:5px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpbolvw.net\/click-7380954-10751355-1453823028000\" target=\"_top\">\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ftjcfx.com\/image-7380954-10751355-1453823028000\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n<p>FIRST READING<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/acts\/3:11\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/acts\/3:11\" target=\"_blank\">FIRST READING: Acts 3:11-26<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Peter and John have just healed the crippled man in the temple area, and immediately use the attention they receive to Proclaim the Risen Christ and the fact that Jesus is Messiah, the Son of God.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>As the crippled man who had been cured clung to Peter and John,<br \/>\nall the people hurried in amazement toward them &#8230;<br \/>\nPeter\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0addressed the people,<br \/>\n&#8216;You children of Israel\u00a0&#8230;<br \/>\nThe God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,<br \/>\nthe God of our fathers, has glorified His Servant Jesus<br \/>\nwhom you handed over and denied in Pilate\u2019s presence,<br \/>\n* * *<br \/>\nThe Author of Life you put to death,<br \/>\nbut God Raised Him from the dead; of this we are witnesses.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bearing witness to the Resurrection, Peter goes on to credit God for the miraculous healing of the crippled man.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>And by Faith in His Name,<br \/>\nthis man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong,<br \/>\nand the Faith that comes through it<br \/>\nhas given him this perfect health,<br \/>\nin the presence of all of you. &#8230;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Peter points out that the Suffering of Christ fulfilled prophecy.<\/p>\n<p>He also gives the listeners an opportunity to claim ignorance as a contributing factor\u00a0in their\u00a0murder of Christ, adding impetus to\u00a0an invitation to\u00a0repentance and Salvation.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Now I know, brothers and sisters,<br \/>\nthat you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did;<br \/>\n* * *<br \/>\nRepent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away,<br \/>\nand that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment<br \/>\nand send you the Christ already appointed for you, Jesus,<br \/>\nwhom Heaven must receive until the times of Universal Restoration<br \/>\nof which God spoke through the mouth<br \/>\nof His Holy Prophets from of old.<br \/>\n* * *<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jesus will return at the times of Universal Restoration, at His Second Coming, when there will be a new Heaven and a new earth, and a final resurrection of those who are saved.<\/p>\n<h3>Mass Excerpt: Readings &amp;
