With the help of Angels, the earth is harvested and the result thrown into the wine press of God&#8217;s Fury.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;\u00a0sitting on the cloud One who looked like a Son of Man, with a gold crown on His Head and a sharp sickle in His Hand. Another Angel came out of the temple, crying out &#8230;\u00a0&#8216;Use Your sickle and reap the harvest, for the time &#8230;\u00a0has come\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0the earth\u2019s harvest is fully ripe.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;\u00a0the one who was sitting on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;\u00a0another angel came out of the temple in Heaven &#8230;\u00a0also had a sharp sickle. &#8230;\u00a0another angel came from the altar\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0in charge of the fire,\u00a0and cried out in a loud voice\u00a0to the one who had the sharp sickle, &#8216;Use your sharp sickle and cut the clusters from the earth\u2019s vines,\u00a0for its grapes are ripe.\u00a0So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and cut the earth\u2019s vintage.\u00a0He threw it into the great wine press of God\u2019s fury.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Holy Mother Church continues to focus on the end times in the Mass Readings as we approach Advent. \u00a0Even though we think of the approaching season of Advent as an anticipation of the Nativity of Christ,\u00a0the focus on the end times reminds us of the over-arching need to anticipate Christ&#8217;s Second Coming, and to reorder our lives to prepare for eternity.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/24:1\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/24:1\" target=\"_blank\">PSALM 24:1BC-2, 3-4AB, 5-6<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Lord comes to judge the earth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/luke\/21:1\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/luke\/21:1\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\nGOSPEL: Luke 21:1-4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When people observe costly adornments of the temple, Jesus reveals that the temple will be destroyed, with no stone left upon another.<\/p>\n<p>They ask Jesus whether there will signs of what is to occur. While the exchange starts with a focus on the temple, one gathers that Christ starts talking about the end times.<\/p>\n<p>There will be false claims by third parties about being the Messiah, as well as wars, insurrections, earthquakes, famines, plagues, and spectacular signs in the sky.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;\u201cSee that you not be deceived, for many will come in My Name, saying, \u2018I am he,\u2019 and \u2018The time has come.\u2019 \u00a0Do not follow them!<\/p>\n<p>When you hear of wars and insurrections,\u00a0do not be terrified; for such things must happen first,\u00a0but it will not immediately be the end.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Then He said to them, &#8216;Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues\u00a0from place to place;\u00a0and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.&#8217;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;\">\r\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- faith-wp-respons-2 -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3210937145558786\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"5586646142\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\n<p>Note that there apparently will be an unfolding of events, across multiple stages.
