but rather a failure to remain one with God.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Anyone who is so &#8216;progressive&#8217;\u00a0as not to remain in the\u00a0Teaching of the Christ does not have God;\u00a0whoever remains in the Teaching has the Father and the Son.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are those in the present day who would like to pretend that sin, perhaps even attempting to trap someone in sinful habits, is somehow &#8220;progressive.&#8221; Instead,\u00a0\u00a0sinfulness, such as being enslaved to sins of the flesh, is regressive, backwards, and destructive to the heart, mind, soul and body.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;\">\r\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- faith-wp-respons-2 -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3210937145558786\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"5586646142\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/119:1\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/psalms\/119:1\" target=\"_blank\">PSALM 119:1, 2, 10, 11, 17, 18<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Blessed are they who follow the Law of the Lord!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/luke\/17:26\" href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/luke\/17:26\" target=\"_blank\">GOSPEL: Luke 17:26-37<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jesus cautions that in the end times, at the Second Coming of Christ, people will be going about their regular lives when set upon by surprise by apocalyptic events.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Jesus said to His disciples: &#8216;As it was in the days of Noah,\u00a0so it will be in the days of the Son of Man;\u00a0they were eating and drinking,\u00a0marrying and giving in marriage up to the day\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0the flood came and destroyed them all.\u00a0&#8230;\u00a0on that night there will be two people in one bed;\u00a0one will be taken, the other left.\u00a0And there will be two women grinding meal together;\u00a0one will be taken, the other left.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Recalling Lot&#8217;s wife &#8212; who was turned into a pillar of salt when she stopped and looked back after being allowed to flee the destruction of sodom &#8212; we are not to seek to preserve our old life when God offers us new life.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Remember the wife of Lot.\u00a0Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it,\u00a0but whoever loses it will save it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Anyone who is so &#8216;progressive&#8217;\u00a0as not to remain in the\u00a0Teaching of the Christ does not have God;\u00a0whoever remains in the Teaching has the Father and the Son.&#8221;
