float:right;padding-left:15px;\">\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpbolvw.net\/click-7380954-5434248-1440532932000\" target=\"_top\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.awltovhc.com\/image-7380954-5434248-1440532932000\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a>\r\n<\/div>\n<h3>GOSPEL<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/john\/17:1\" target=\"_blank\">GOSPEL: John 17:1-11A<\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding:2px;\">\r\n<div style=\"float:left;\">\r\n<!---Catholic-Match---->\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tkqlhce.com\/hi117efolfn2A6B3C87243A463A324759B9438C333\" target=\"_blank\" onmouseover=\"window.status='http:\/\/www.catholicmatch.com';return true;\" onmouseout=\"window.status=' ';return true;\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lduhtrp.net\/lg98wquiom7FBG8HDC798F9B8F879CAEGE98DH888\" alt=\"CatholicMatch.com - Grow in Faith, Fall in Love\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div style=\"float:right;padding-right:5px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpbolvw.net\/click-7380954-10751355-1453823028000\" target=\"_top\">\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ftjcfx.com\/image-7380954-10751355-1453823028000\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n<p>We see Jesus interacting with God the Father through vocal prayer, and we encounter some of the deep Mysteries of the Holy Trinity.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus invites us to Eternal Life.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Jesus raised His Eyes to Heaven and said,<br \/>\n&#8216;Father, the hour has come.<br \/>\nGive Glory to Your Son, so that Your Son may Glorify You,<br \/>\njust as You gave Him Authority over all people,<br \/>\nso that Your Son may give Eternal Life to all you gave Him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Eternal Life is to know God.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus gave Glory to God the Father by doing the Work the Father gave Him to do.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Now this is Eternal Life,<br \/>\nthat they should know You, the only True God,<br \/>\nand the One Whom you sent, Jesus Christ.<br \/>\nI glorified You on earth<br \/>\nby accomplishing the work that You gave Me to do.<br \/>\nNow Glorify me, Father, with you,<br \/>\nwith the Glory that I had with You before the world began.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Note that Christ Himself references the fact that He is Co-Eternal with the Father. \u00a0While Christ was Incarnate in the Womb of the Virgin Mary two thousand years ago, He existed with God the Father since before the world began. \u00a0Indeed, as the Creed confesses, it was through Christ that all Creation came into Being.<\/p>\n<p>We are called to belong to Christ, and in turn belong to God the Father. \u00a0Christ reveals to His Followers the Father&#8217;s Name and the Father&#8217;s Words.<\/p>\n<p>Christ&#8217;s Followers act in the world, while Christ declares in this passage that He is coming to the Father.<\/p>\n<p>We show that we belong to God by keeping His Word and accepting God&#8217;s Word.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8216;I revealed Your Name to those whom You gave Me out of the world.<br \/>\nThey belonged to You, and You gave them to Me,<br \/>\nand they have kept Your Word.<br \/>\n&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0they know that everything You gave Me is from You,<br \/>\nbecause the Words You gave to Me I have given to them,<br \/>\nand they accepted them and truly understood that I came from You,<br \/>\nand they have believed that You sent Me.<br \/>\nI pray for them.<br \/>\n&#8230;\u00a0they are Yours, and everything of Mine is Yours<br \/>\nand everything of Yours is Mine,<br \/>\nand I have been Glorified in them.<br \/>\n&#8230;now I will no longer be in the world,<br \/>\nbut they are in the world, while I am coming to You.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Recall how Jesus says He gives Glory to the Father by doing the Work the Father gave Him, while Jesus is in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Here, Jesus talks of how His Followers are in the world. \u00a0Are we not called to give Glory to God by doing the Work that God gives us to do?<\/p>\n<h3><div style=\"width:50%; float:right;padding-left:15px;\">\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpbolvw.net\/click-7380954-5434248-1440532932000\" target=\"_top\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.awltovhc.com\/image-7380954-5434248-1440532932000\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a>\r\n<\/div><\/h3>\n<h3>FIRST READING<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/usccb.org\/bible\/acts\/20:17\" target=\"_blank\">FIRST READING: Acts of the Apostles 20:17-27<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saint Paul confesses to the presbyters of the Church at Ephesus that he feels called to go to Jerusalem, and to continue persevering in carrying his Mission, even in the face of hardship and persecution.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8216;&#8230;\u00a0I served the Lord with all humility<br \/>\nand with the tears and trials that came to me<br \/>\n&#8230;\u00a0and I did not at all shrink from telling you<br \/>\nwhat was for your benefit,<br \/>\nor from teaching you in public or in your homes.<br \/>\nI earnestly bore witness for both Jews and Greeks<br \/>\nto repentance before God and to faith in our Lord Jesus.<br \/>\n&#8230;\u00a0compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem.<br \/>\nWhat will happen to me there I do not know,<br \/>\nexcept that in one city after another<br \/>\nthe Holy Spirit has been warning me<br \/>\nthat imprisonment and hardships await me.<br \/>\nYet I consider life of no importance to me,<br \/>\nif only I may finish my course<br \/>\nand the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus,<br \/>\nto bear witness to the Gospel of God\u2019s grace.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Even though Paul believes that he will never see them again, he nevertheless feels that he was done what he could to Proclaim the Gospel to them without holding back.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>LINKS &amp;
